Hello all, it's been a long time.
We'd like to develop a new playercard/emblem editor for Call of Duty: Blacks Ops 2, as many are currently requesting via email. In order to do this we need to figure out a way to handle Treyarch's .ipak files, which have "KAPI" (ipak backwards, ha) as the header. I haven't seen this kind of format before. It doesn't look like it follows the format of any known .pak standards, and Dragon UnPACKer couldn't handle it. Looking through hex dumps shows that the format seems to use a lot of padding: (A7)h and (CD)h, and each file is delimited by (00)h. The format resembles quake .pak files, but with the extra padding that's throwing me off. If anyone has any information or an idea on how it works, I'd appreciate a hint.
In other news, the forums had been swamped by spam and bots. As such, they've been temporarily disabled, and will get them back online later this week.
